I’m Wes, the Labrador Retriever rescue. My hoomans adopted me from Homeward Bound Golden Retriever Rescue near Sacramento. The good folks at Homeward Bound say I was a street pup, but my new parents say I couldn’t have been on the streets too long on account of my friendly disposition. I’m about 10 months old now and growing up fast. My Good Dog Dad is working with me on all kinds of training and puppy socialization. He says it’s good for my brains.
My favorite activities including eating and chasing a ball. I also like eating and chasing my brother, Watson. Not only that, I like chasing squirrels and eating treats. Yeah, that’s about the size of it. Eating and chasing. And sometimes sleeping. Oh, and don’t forget swimming. I LOOOOOVE SWIMMING!
There are a few things I don’t like. I’m not a fan of sprinklers or baths. My hoomans don’t know why, but they say I’ll get used to them eventually. Don’t hold your breath!
I’ll post here from time to time about the things I’m learning and my all-around doggy experiences.

I started in Sacramento
About the size of a bento
Then hoomans they found me
And gave love around me
When I’m happy I bark in falsetto
